Do we exercise self-control?

Everyone of us has his own will.  In other words, we have our own ability to exercise belief.  It is within our own will that we can become resolute and determined to exercise self-control in any area of our life.  A minister I know used to say "If it is going to be, it is up to me"  So much in life is determined by the choices and decisions that we make.  Our Heavenly Father does not leave us alone with just our will-power alone.  God also provides for us the spiritual force of self-control.  It says in Galatians 5:22-23(NKJV)²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, self-control..."  So if we would like to put the spiritual force of Heaven behind our will-power, just pray and release the spiritual force of self-control in your spirit and soul over the area in question.
